Apple
You see a red sphere. You’re hungry, so you grab it. You smell it, taste it, and eat it—knowing it will nourish you, not harm you. You never doubt it. This instinct has worked for thousands of years.
Text
You see a grey area. You look closer: tiny black symbols on a white background. You have no instinct about whether it’s good or bad.
You study it. Headlines, images, design—none of it tells you what you need. You’re left guessing: What does this text want? Is it biased? Is it truthful? Was it written with good intentions or to manipulate?
You miss the clarity you had with the apple.
Why …
… is this a problem? Because you’re constantly bombarded with information—and most of it comes without warning signs. You consume it, but you have no instinct for its quality. Your mind, heart, and gut are hacked, manipulated, and misled without you even realizing it. And this happens all the time.
You can’t “smell” the truth or relevance of what you’re about to read, watch, or listen to. You don’t know if it’s worth your attention, or if it’s designed just to keep you hooked for profit. Most of what you encounter online is built to keep you scrolling, not to inform you.
How …
… can we fix this? Can we develop a new “sense” to reliably assess information?
Yes—or at least, that’s what we’re working on. We’re designing a way to help you recognize the true nature of the content you engage with. It’s still in development, but we’re on it.
What …
… are we building exactly? What will this new “sense” be?
We’re creating a tool—a kind of prosthetic for your mind. It’ll come as an app, plugin, or add-on, giving you the intuition you’re missing when facing media. It will help you “feel” the quality, bias, and intent behind the information you encounter.
But more than that, it’s about building a skill. You’ll get better at detecting honest, balanced content from manipulative or biased information. It’s a tool that not only helps now, but trains your mind to think more clearly for the future.
