TellDear Web Application
The easiest way to use TellDear. Open app.telldear.org, enter your credentials, a text or URL to an information artifact, and you’re off.
TellDear API
All of TellDear’s functionality is accessible through our API at api.telldear.org.
Send a text or URL to a media artifact, as well as a list of output parameters you want the system to generate, and optionally a resource locator (or actual data) with configuration information, and you get back a list of key-value pairs that tell you everything you need to know about the media artifact. This is the heart of TellDear.
To visualize the results of the TellDear analysis – to make it intuitive – feed the visualizer the output of the above method and optionally a resource locator (or actual data) containing configuration information, and you get image data that intuitively tells the trained user something about the media artifact.
TellDear browser plugin
Whenever you start surfing, you start with a search in a search engine that returns a list of websites or videos. All you see in the list of results is usually a title (which screams “click me” and often lies to your face), an image (same thing), and some teaser text. Not exactly what you need.
If you enable the TellDear browser plugin, the results list is overlaid with visual indicators that tell you way more at a glance. The title can either be hidden or replaced by an honest one. A teaser written by TellDear will give you additional information in bland rather than buzz words.
Think of it like an organ for information that evolution has not given you. You will immediately get an idea of the quality of the mental food you consider consuming.
You can configure these indicators according to your personal preferences, but for now, the carefully crafted default configurations will give you a balanced version without your own ideological preferences.
